I think this is a good story for kids who think that their parents are just being mean and are being persistent about working harder in their work and overall in life. When I first looked at the story I just didn't want to read it. I thought that I was going to hate but I learned not to judge stories by the cover.
This connects to homelessness because like when Lemon brown says that one day he was singing about the blues and the next poverty was tapping his shoulder. This is like when life seems like nothing can ever take you down but the next thing you know your lost in the dark shadows of gloom.
One thing that I found interesting was that Greg thinks that his dad is being annoying and not caring about his life. But later he starts to realize his dad Is doing what he did because he cares.
Greg changed by realizing that his dad cares about his Future. He doesn't want his son to have the life he has he wants his son to be successful in his life. He changed by the things that Lemon told his life and about his relationship with his son. He realized that parents do what they do because they care.
